Yes you are reading the title correctly. I thought why not Watch and then offer a review of what is considered by many to be the best movie of all time, citizen Kane. If you don't want spoiler alerts then this is where you need to stop and watch the movie.
Having been quite sometime since I last saw this movie I felt it was very interesting giving all the changes in today's society. The movie is essentially very simple and it's overall premise. It was applicable then and it's applicable today. Despite having to suffer through my children listening to songs like Gucci gang and watching the Kardashian's live in inexplicable and somewhat foolish lifestyle there is one principal that very much remains true. Why money can buy a lot of things in life it's not going to buy you the ultimate happiness. Don't get me wrong, money does a lot to help. Your forward you the privilege of not being able to do things you would otherwise rather not do. It affords you the privilege of hiring people to do things for you. It also does ensure that wall people will want something from you a certain level of ass-kissing does take place. In the end I would have to argue strongly that wall the movie was very good and certainly one everybody should watch at some point in my opinion it would be hard-pressed to say this is the best movie that was ever made. Up against movies like it's a wonderful life and other black-and-white films it certainly is a standout.
There are however other movies such as Star Wars in the matrix which were revolutionary and groundbreaking not to mention lesser-known films like clerks which is orderly hysterical that are also movies someone who fits my demographic would clearly enjoyed.
While I am going to rate the movie a five out of five and a must watch I just don't think it's the best movie that was ever made. I still would lean towards the matrix has one of the most groundbreaking movies ever and would rank it higher. I guess if any of the Hollywood elite word ever read this I'm sure that is a statement that would provide and less comments of backlash telling me how way off I am but that's just my opinion.
